My Not-So-Interesting Life
Apr. 14th, 2007 03:01 pmMy recent life can be summed up by meetings, more meetings, sick, and a few more meetings. On the plus side, I got to cashier at the Spring Friends of the Library Booksale this morning. Sadly, my haul was not up to previous standards. But, I may go help with cleanup on Monday and possibly Tuesday, which will give me additional opportunities to score some new books.
While we're on the subject, I have one more to add to my list.
#54 is The First Princess of Wales by Karen Harper (Apr07). This was a long novel dealing with the life of Joan, The Maid of Kent. It straddles the line somewhere between historical fiction and romance and while I think it might have played somewhat fast and loose with strict historical accuracy, I enjoyed it nonetheless.
muffinkath7, I think you might enjoy it.
I've hit a bit of a slowdown with books lately. Anything that you've simply adored recently that you can recommend to me?
Finally, can I just say that having your 15 year old have his first real girlfriend is a very strange phenomenon? How did I get this old? When did it happen and why wasn't I paying attention?
